Hello, I’m Vikas Joshi, a Software Engineer, a passionate advocate for technology, community development, and creating a better, more inclusive world. 🌍💡 With close to two decades of experience in software industry, I have led impactful projects that enhance the lives of businesses and individuals across Australia. 🇦🇺 As the founder of my company Test-Fast, I’m committed to delivering reliable software solutions that make a tangible difference. I also lead the Software Test Automation Group (STAG), a community with over 1,700 members on Meetup and 3,000+ members across all platforms, fostering continuous learning in software testing and automation. 💻📈

Key Achievements:

  • Empowering Businesses: 💼 My work has contributed to the success of major Australian brands like AGL, UniSuper, IAG & many more. For instance, with Tabcorp, I ensured smooth operations of their betting engine during events like the Melbourne Cup, bringing joy to millions of users. 🎉 I also facilitated the integration of MyDeal with Woolworths and BigW that led to creation of what is called BigW Market & Woolworths Market, helping small businesses reach more customers on Australia’s largest retail platforms. 🛍️
  • Supporting the Local Economy: 📊 My efforts extend beyond technology, focusing on driving economic growth and innovation in the Wyndham region. By helping businesses adopt digital solutions, I’ve enabled them to improve their operations and better serve their customers. Through partnerships with local businesses at SPARK Wyndham Innovation Hub, I support entrepreneurs in navigating challenges and seizing new opportunities. 🤝🚀
  • Fostering a Thriving Culture: 🌟 I prioritise creating a positive and inclusive work environment. I organise team-building activities like volunteering initiatives and escape rooms, and I celebrate diverse cultural events such as Diwali, Chinese New Year, and National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Day. 🎨🎆🖤💛❤️ These initiatives foster a sense of belonging and encourage collaboration among team members.   • Resilience During COVID-19: 🦠 During the COVID-19 lockdowns, I ensured that our services and support remained uninterrupted. Through my initiatives, we adapted to the changing circumstances by transitioning meetups online, maintaining community engagement despite the challenges. 💪 We went beyond technical topics, addressing personal and societal impacts of the pandemic, fostering a cohesive and supportive community during difficult times. 🤗
  • Sustainability & Profitability: 🌱 My approach focuses on continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring long-term sustainability. As a candidate for the Wyndham City Council, I am excited to bring my passion for community development, innovation, and resilience to serve our city. 🏙️✨ My vision is to build a stronger, more inclusive Wyndham by combining community values with innovative solutions.   • Driving Economic Growth: 📈 My experience at the SPARK Wyndham Innovation Hub has shown me the power of supporting local businesses. I will continue to champion digital transformation and economic initiatives that help local businesses thrive, ensuring Wyndham remains competitive in a rapidly changing world. 🌍💼 Our contributions got recognition at Wyndham Business Award 2024, for Excellence in Local Community & have been exhibitors for events like WYNNOVATION & Proudly,Wyndham Business Expo.
  • Educational & Youth Initiatives: 🎓👩‍💻 I am committed to collaborating with Monash University and Wyndham schools to inspire young minds through talks, tours, and workshops. This includes introducing students—especially young girls—to career opportunities in IT, helping to build a pipeline of local talent for the future. 👩‍🎓💡
